Model was created as part of Dominance War III, an online Competition between nine different online 3d modeling forums hosted by FredH at www.gameartisans.org. Draco uses all of the 9000 allotted triangles and four textures (diffuse, alpha, normal and specular) that are each 2048 pixels by 2048 pixels. High poly assets were created using 3DS Max and Mud Box. They were then baked onto the model using 3DS Max and Xnormals. Below are the final images that were submitted for the competition. Draco is fully rigged using a custom bone rig created in 3DS max. Textures were created in Photoshop CS2 and are a combination of photo references and hand painting techniques.
